3×3 Basketball from home to home: We are currently moving the events online!

After 15 years since the first Sport Arena Streetball tournament, the most popular 3×3 basketball competition in Romania will premiere an online competition. A demonstration tournament will take place on Sunday evening, with the participation of two stars from the FIBA 3×3 World Tour and two of the most valuable young 3×3 players in Romania. Registration for the first eSport Arena Streetball event opens on Monday, at 3 PM, on 3la3.ro.

Unable to organize the traditional outdoor tournaments for the time being, Sport Arena Streetball is waiting for its fans in front of the consoles for virtual duels, from the comfort of their own homes.

The first event will be a demonstration one, attended by the leader of the NY Harlem, Dominique “Disco Domo” Jones, Dylan Van Eyck, the young star of the Dutch national team, Alexandru Coconea, member of the U23 national team of Romania, who last year defeated the United States at the FIBA 3×3 U23 World Cup, and Sonia Vilcinschi, multiple champion at the Sport Arena Streetball tournaments.

The tournament will take place on Sunday, May 3rd, at 7 PM and will be broadcasted live on the Sport Arena Streetball YouTube and Facebook channels.

The registration session for the first eSport Arena Streetball Tournament, taking place between May 8-10, will open on Monday, May 4th, at 3 PM, and is open for up to 24 players. The tournament is dedicated to those who play NBA 2k20 on the PlayStation4 platform, having the Plus option activated to allow online games.

Sport Arena Streetball takes promoting 3×3 basketball, an Olympic discipline starting with Tokyo 2020, in the online environment, but encourages participants in traditional tournaments to train and stay in shape for the moment we all look forward to: returning to outdoor arenas around the country.
